To welcome the arrival of the cherished summer months with its breathtaking sunrises and stunning sunsets, Patricia Urquiola has designed a new outdoor family for Kettal based on the concept of clothing, dressing and undressing furniture. We’re fans because of the elegant design that marries ease of use with easy storage.
The Plumon family comes in dusky hues that are the perfect complement to a pink and lilac sunset.
Adopting a tailoring approach, Patricia Urquiola designs the new Plumon family with a reference to the characteristic Brazilian spirit, which lives in abundant, roomy, comfortable furnishings, somehow evocative of distant landscapes and cultures. Urquiola designed a light structure, on which a tailored and padded dress is ‘moored’, wrapped.

This ribbed padding, characterized by stitching, as well as being an aesthetic figure, fulfills the comfort of the product. It is the fit that guides the aesthetics. With a few simple gestures, the dress is placed on the rigid teak structure and embraces it. The unparalleled ease of use built into the design is a real plus for an outdoor collection.
Not only does the comfortable padded dress wrap around the seats of the structure, but it extends to the armrests and the outside of the backrest, so you can have a spot to rest your arm with a drink in hand.
