EVERYDAY MAGIC || Ichendorf Milano’s Playful Designs Turn Holiday Moments into Rituals

It’s not even Halloween yet, but we can’t wait until November to share the limited-edition Ichendorf Milano Christmas 2025 collections designed by Alessandra Baldereschi.

We look forward to these whimsical designs every year. Hopefully, by sharing them earlier this year, you get some extra time to browse and select items to add warmth and cheer to your home this holiday season.

There’s something irresistibly joyful about the way Ichendorf Milano reimagines glass, not as something fragile, but as something alive. Under the poetic direction of Alessandra Baldereschi, the Christmas 2025 Collection transforms everyday rituals into moments of delight. Each piece is handmade and flame-worked from borosilicate glass, a material prized for its clarity and resilience, yet it’s the imagination within these forms that makes them so endearing.

From Santa to snowman, the Christmas Tales series turns familiar holiday icons into miniature sculptures of joy. Each glass ornament seems to tell its own story, illuminated by the twinkle of December light.

Pour tea from a pot where Santa waves from within, reach for cookies beneath a glass roof topped by a tiny Christmas tree, or raise a holly-branched wine glass shimmering with festive red. These small gestures remind us that beauty and humour can coexist, and that good design is not only about aesthetics but also about joy.

This year, the collection unfolds across five limited-edition series, each a miniature world of its own. Christmas Tales brings back beloved characters like Santa, the elf, and the snowman, each captured mid-gesture in transparent globes. Woodland Tales revisits the fables of childhood with bears, unicorns, and forest creatures nestled into cups and ornaments. Schiaccianoci (The Nutcracker) enchants the table with ballerinas and toy soldiers, blurring the line between fairytale and form. Meanwhile, Botanica Christmas Edition celebrates nature’s quiet beauty through pomegranate-filled baubles and glasses resting on green stems of holly. Finally, Tabby Cat Christmas Edition returns with a playful wink, featuring pitchers and ornaments where mischievous cats curl and climb in glassy stillness.

Above: Winter blooms eternal in Ichendorf Milano’s Botanica Christmas Edition, where holly branches, pomegranates, and frost-tinted flowers take shape in glass. Each stemmed piece feels like a toast to nature’s quiet resilience.

Below: Inspired by The Nutcracker, the Schiaccianoci series balances elegance and whimsy. Toy soldiers, ballerinas, and rocking horses come alive in delicate transparency, evoking the magic of a winter’s ballet.

Each piece carries Baldereschi’s signature balance between fantasy and function, art and everyday use. Together, they compose a storybook of the season that celebrates craftsmanship, imagination, and the simple pleasure of bringing something beautiful to the table.

As the days shorten and gatherings move indoors, these objects bring more than decoration. They invite us to slow down, to savour the ceremony of pouring, serving, and sharing. In the world of Ichendorf Milano, even a glass of water can feel like a celebration.

In Woodland Tales, bears, unicorns, and forest creatures dance through the snow-covered imagination of childhood. The result is a menagerie that bridges fantasy and familiarity.
