URBAN ARROW || Frontrunner in Urban Mobility Rethinks Brand Space in New Amsterdam Location

We’d be lying if we said that the vibrant blue and red colour combination didn’t automatically captivate our attention.

Urban Arrow, a fast-growing brand in the urban mobility sector, opened a brand space in Amsterdam to have all facilities under one roof. They tapped Pepijn Smit of S-P-A-C-E to design interiors that embody their bold design philosophy: always ahead.

In the new brand space, visitors are not only introduced to the products and the brand’s history but also the people behind the innovative brand. URBAN ARROW is a brand for everybody and is proud of every member of their team contributing to realizing the brand’s vision of delivering environmentally friendly cargo bikes. The electric vehicles transport your children or company cargo smoothly from A to B while keeping environmental sustainability at the forefront. URBAN ARROW thus defined the new transport category: Smart Urban Mobility. The team wants to ensure cities continue to be great places to live, thus they design electric family cargo bikes to alleviate congestion on the streets and aim to reduce air pollution. The company’s goal is to contribute to a better world, to sustain and maintain the planet David Attenborough fondly refers to as ‘the blue marble’. This is why blue is added to the colour palette.

The open product display seamlessly blends in with the areas for the people.

The space not only showcases the products but shines a spotlight on the people behind the brand.

The result of these stories the team wished to tell is a blue space (with a pinch of red) where the areas showcasing the people and product displays seamlessly blend into each other. “Smooth transitions” is not only the transport’s standard but also goes for the vehicles' design. Another key product and brand value is honesty, which is communicated through interior design and construction transparency. Though there are fluently designed elements for a smooth transition through the space, the concrete, open ceilings and metal beams show honestly where it is made off.
