HONEY SALT POT PIE NIGHTS || The Only Pot Pie You Need This Winter

Baby, it’s cold outside.

This is why a piping hot pot pie with its buttery, crispy pastry top enveloping the delicious ingredients within is the perfect dish to warm up on a winter evening.

Honey Salt located in downtown Vancouver has launched Pot Pie Night, where you can enjoy a 2-course meal with Tofino Fry calamari or creamy kale and romaine salad to start, and a hearty pot pie as your main course. If you feel like a single pot pie would be enough to satisfy your appetite, the pot pies can also be ordered a la carte.

There are 3 options to choose from for your mains, with meat and seafood options. We tried the Turkey Pot Pie, which features free-range turkey with both dark and meat atop a bed of vegetables, and the West Coast Seafood Pot Pie, with large chunks of king salmon, pacific shrimp, and salt spring island mussels. The scent of the baked pie crust alone will make your mouth water.

The Chef shared that the pot pies are made with the sauce at the bottom, vegetables as the middle layer, and the meat sitting on top, so even if the pie crust comes in contact with the meat while baking it wouldn’t stick. The key to enjoying your pot pie is to poke through the crust and stir the ingredients to mix it all up before grabbing your first bite.
