DAMIAN || Envisioned as the “twin brother” to Cosme in Manhattan. Helmed by Chef Jesús “Chuy” Cervantes.

Located in Downtown LA, Damian is the latest venture and first Los Angeles project by Chef Enrique Olivera, Santiago Perez and their phenomenal team housed in a stylish, repurposed warehouse space in LA’s Arts District. The interior design is a collaboration between architect Alonso de Garay and interior designer Michaela De Bernade.  The creation of a pleasingly simple and uncluttered look brings out the minimalist style. Natural materials and furnishing complete the understated and sleek design.

Damian embodies the comfort, simplicity and warmth of a traditional opulent Mexican patio with modernized furniture. Think a mix of polished concrete, exposed brick walls, wood accents and verdant leafy flora, the result is both edgy and chic, adored for its surrounding industrial neighborhood aesthetics in the Arts District; it's certainly a space that many people will love!

Damian is envisioned as the other “twin” to Cosme in Manhattan - recognized among the best restaurants in the world - as this new concept the brainchild of the talented individuals behind Cosme. Chef Jesús “Chuy” Cervantes, who was formerly a chef at Cosme, has crafted a menu that specifically highlights authentic Mexican cuisine - celebrating the Mexican tradition and culture with a touch of Californian. With unique and fresh ingredients locally sourced in California, Chef Cervantes put together recipes that showcase vegetable-driven and seafood focused dishes highlighting Mexican favourites such as homemade tortillas, striped bass ceviche, smoked clams, and Tlayuda.

The menu and recipes at Damian are thoughtfully put together using great ingredients sourced from California and its surrounding areas while complementing with the use of Mexican ingredients, like dry chilies. These ingredients celebrate not only Mexican cuisine but also what happens around the table, our menu is meant to be shared with friends while having great conversations.
