Sometimes you just need to get away from everything, and a trip to the coffee shop just won’t cut it. You need to be fully detached from your work and daily responsibilities, and what better way to achieve this goal than to relax in a private villa for a week? Casa Violeta is the perfect staycation for those residing in the Central America region, who can safely travel by car to reach the tropical oasis that is Granada, Nicaragua.

Why do we refer to it as an oasis? Because of its lush greenery, where the first-floor greenery soars and peeps onto the second-floor balcony, year-round tropical climate that falls between 72 to 93 degrees, and a central courtyard inspired by Moroccan riads connects the indoor and outdoor space so you can always enjoy a breath of fresh air no matter where you are located in the residence.

Colourful blankets, rugs and cushions with bold patterns makes transforms every corner of the villa

From the doorstep through to the stairs and the outdoor pool, locally-made black, gray, and white tiles are arranged in dramatic and bold geometric patterns to add to the villa’s distinct character. Colourful decorative items from rugs to cushions and chair upholstery add an additional layer of vibrance and texture to the interiors. Add to this the tropical and natural elements and you have a living space where every corner and nook demands a photo to commit these captivating scenes to memory.

The villa is decorated with antiques sourced throughout the country, custom ceramics from the village of San Juan del Oriente, and modern art from contemporary Nicaraguan artists. An experience at Casa Violeta is bound to connect you with the talent and craftsmanship of the country through these designs and art pieces featured throughout the home.

Imagine a day at Casa Violeta where you would wake up with your morning coffee on the terrace while gazing at the southern views of Mombacho, the volcano that gives Granada its rich, dark soil. As the rest of the house stays fast asleep in the early morning, you can lazily flip through a magazine while enjoying the morning’s sun rays or head down to the pool for a quick morning swim before thinking about what you want to eat for lunch.
