BANDURA by Faina || Vases Inspired by a Traditional Ukrainian Musical Instrument

BANDURA by Faina || Vases Inspired by a Traditional Ukrainian Musical Instrument

The Bandura vases by Faina collection pays tribute to the musical talents of Ukraine.

BANDURA is a set of vases inspired by the traditional Ukrainian musical instrument with the same name – “bandura” (a plucked stringed instrument, like a harp, with a tear-shaped body). Bandura Vases have an elegant air, and some would say a female body shape alongside a powerful code of a very talented singing nation with deep roots. Bandura historically was used by blind street musicians, who travelled between villages and cities of Ukraine, sharing stories of the difficult fate of people in those days.

The vases have been handcrafted in collaboration with Ukrainian potter masters, and are made of ceramics and wood. The shape of the vases bear resemblance to the traditional Bandura instrument, assuming its rounded curves, and the colour options include bold, contrasting options in black and off-white. The tabletop vase design presents a unique floral arrangement opportunity with its 2 openings. The larger vase that can be arranged on the floor or atop a larger table and can act as a statement piece in any room or on an entry table.
