Perched high along the breathtaking hills of the Amalfi Coast, Palazzo Avino maximizes the benefits of being situated at such a prime location.

The historic five-star hotel opened its doors as Palazzo Sasso in 1997, and became a renowned for its stunning views and one-star Michelin Restaurant. The property was originally a 12th Century built for an esteemed Italian noble family, and has been tastefully refurbished while retaining its medieval and baroque features. Now operating under the name Palazzo Avino, the hotel has been recognized by both Travel & Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler magazines as one of the best hotels in the world.

The various amenities within the hotel are oriented to take advantage of the unrivalled views of the Mediterranean Sea. You can experience the stunning natural beauty of the Amalfi Coast here at the Palazzo Avino Hotel, where vivid blue skies meet the shimmering crystal blue waters.

With views like these, it’s only natural for the architecture to orient its design to make the most of its natural surroundings. The Beach Club, swimming pool and deluxe sea view rooms all offer you a chance to take in the views. White cabanas and sunbathing chairs angle towards the sunshine, offering guests a chance to work on their tans throughout the day.

The hotel boasts a new private beach club (Clubhouse By the Sea) with a free shuttle to and from the hotel, offering full sea access, with a casual restaurant and a small swimming pool. With a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, Turkish bath and massage and treatment cabins, we guarantee you will leave the spa rejuvenated with a renewed reserve of energy. Specialty products at the spa are created with Sorrento lemons, annurca apple and Vesuvio apricot, three local fruits known for their beneficial properties.

Though the hotel grounds are drenched in beautiful sunlight throughout the day, when the sun sets, guests can hea dover to the Lobster and Martini Bar, a new addition to the Terrazza Belvedere. Think Lobster, Champagne and Prosecco against a backdrop of the sun setting over the horizon. Spend the evening enjoying some of the 80 different martinis handcrafted by the hotel’s in-house martini mixologist.

The emphasis of the sea views are integrated into the design of the rooms, with large arched windows facing out to the coastline. There are 10 Junior and Deluxe Suites with a sea view (and some with terraces) and 33 Double rooms with a sea view and/or mountain view. Each of the rooms are decorated in a different style, with most of the furnishings from the XIX century, retaining the unique and historic character of the hotel.

The beds are comfortable and plush, with heavy drapes to block out distractions for a sound night’s sleep. For those lucky enough to reserve a sea view room with a terrace, you can wake up in the morning to enjoy your coffee and pastry on the terrace before starting your day.
